Payroll Specialist (Part Time)

Hourly rate: $23/hour

Description

Our engineering client is looking for a Part Time Payroll Specialist to join their growing team. Position is M-F 20 hours/week and does have the potential of going full time. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

 

Job duties will include:

  • Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation and other information in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
  • Compute wages and deductions and data entry
  • Record employee information to maintain and update payroll records
  • Process and issue employee paychecks
  • Keep informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 year experience in processing CA payroll
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Working knowledge of payroll functions, laws and regulations
  • Prevailing wage, ADP and /or Deltek Vision experience a plus
