Hourly rate: $18-$21/hr
Our innovative client is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join their newly opened office in downtown San Luis Obispo!
This is a temp to hire opportunity! Schedule starts out part-time, about 20 hours a week, and is somewhat flexible.
Summary: This position will be responsible for handling duties related to accounting as well as some basic office duties. Once comfortable in this role, this person will have the opportunity to take on some creative tasks as required.
Duties will include:
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions
- Bank reconciliation for several accounts
- Assist in preparing payroll and assist with workers comp
- Process and input bills or invoices
- Filing, data entry and other administrative duties as assigned
- Previous QuickBooks experience is required
- Prior experience in a position that processed payroll is preferred
- Highly proficient in MS Office programs
- Background/Experience in a construction office preferred
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
