Land Development Project Manager

San Luis Obispo

Hourly rate: $90k+ DOE


Our construction client is looking for a full time Land Development Project Manager. This is a Direct Placement Opportunity


This is a lead role coordinating with engineers, consultants, contractors and city staff. Will handle management of improvement plans and Final Maps, reporting of project progress to DLD, leading meetings and tracking action items.


Job duties will include:

  • Coordinating with various agencies and city's on planning, engineering, environmental and land development
  • Management of schedules, budgets, plans, bidding, contracts and invoices
  • Tracking the timing and priorities of legal documents
  • Provide legal task list agenda and minutes for all projects
  • Manage the civil improvement plans, dry utility plans as well as any easements, dedications and agreements
  • Take the lead on Final Map processing including Subdivision Agreements, covenants, fees, bonds and other pertinent agreements
  • Assist with ROW and easement acquisition coordination with private property owners
  • Assist in the bidding process and manage proposals, agreements and billing
  • Assist with DRE submittals, insurance coordination and close-out requirements
  • Assist with tracking bonds and bond releases
  • Assist Land Development construction Superintendents as needed



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous construction management experience
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle fast paced environment
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal and external staff
  • BS Degree in Engineering preferred
