A local non-profit organization is looking for a PT or FT Food service Worker to perform a wide variety of manual tasks.
7 day a week facility. Days of work can vary for a total of 5 days/wk. Afternoon/Evening shifts 11:30-8:00pm
Other duties include:
Prepare all food according to guidelines
Set up food service counters, steam tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food
Serve food cafeteria-style directly to diners in serving line
Make coffee, tea, ice water and other beverages
Portion out food in small serving dishes
Clean equipment in kitchen and dining area
Wash dishes, pots, pans, coffee urn, glasses, etc.
Clean floors and disposes of food wastes and trash
Move heavy garbage cans, assists in unloading supply trucks and storing heavy supplies
Requirements:
Experience in food service preferred
Ability to train and work with disabled persons
Knowledge of food sanitation requirements and health code standards
Must know proper food handling procedures and pass a food handler test
Must be able to stand during entire shift and lift 30lbs (50/lbs with a partner)
Must have reliable transportation
