Payroll Administrator

San Luis Obispo

Hourly rate: $14+ DOE

Description

There is an immediate opening for a Payroll Administrator with a well-established company.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment and independently when needed. This is a full-time position.

 

Duties:

  • Compile, calculate and process payroll data, including garnishments & levy orders, employee banking, vacation/sick time and benefit deductions
  • Process EE paperwork
  • Review, process and submit bi-weekly Oracle Human Resource multi-state payroll data
  • Contact employees for missing and/or discrepancies with timecards
  • Support Payroll Specialist with prevailing wage calculations, certified payroll, and manual checks
  • Maintain and organize employee folders
  • Prepare branch requests for Alternative Work Schedules

 

Requirements:

  • min 2 years payroll experience
  • Familiar with Wage & compliance law
  • Knowledge of construction and time card job tagging
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality a must
  • Preferred experience with Certified Payroll, ADP, Oracle and/or Novatime software
