Training and Safety Coordinator

Hourly rate: $20-$30/hour


Primary responsibility for facilitating and administering maintenance craft training and conducting contractor and new employee safety orientation. Secondary responsibility to ensure contract companies working within the Facility understand and are complying with company and site safe work practices, procedures and policies and works under the direction of their On-Site Supervisor.


Roles and Responsibilities

•Provide assistance on the overall coordination and execution of the maintenance craft training program

•Execute training for both new hires and experienced employee refresher training

•Progress training in compliance and on-schedule with the maintenance training standard

•Be an active Field Safety leader through formal and Informal audits

•Develop and administer knowledge and performance base testing to measure competency

•Conduct routing analysis to determine training gaps

•Be an active member of the Safety Enhancement Program (SEP) Committee

•Develop and steward training performance metrics

•Evaluate and select training proposals

•Become a Learning Management System Administrator to assemble, distribute computer-based training (CBT) and issue reports

•Serve as a resource to employees and contractors for training material and courses

•Conduct, coordinate with other departments and manage the site forklift training program

•Oversee scheduling/deliver and content of instructor led courses

•Manage maintenance procedures to ensure accuracy through timely reviews and revalidations

•Assist In the development and update of maintenance procedures and training materials

•Deliver and Improve contractor and new employee orientation and training

•Schedule and facilitate contractor orientation

•Improve and update contractor orientation material as needed

•Work with employees to update their job specific required training per the Management of Personnel Change

•Coordinate the contractor safety program

•Ensure all contractors working within the Facility are In full compliance with all company and site specific safe work practices, procedures and policies

•Audit and Review Contractors Safe Work Practices and Procedures

•Be a mechanic and craft safety resource for all contractors
