Hourly rate: $18 - $20/hour

Description

Our non-profit client is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team immediately. Position is full time M-F and is a temp-t0-hire opportunity.

 

Job duties will include:

  • Data entry of AP vouchers
  • Processing of travel requests, reconciliations and reimbursements
  • Analyzes specific payables and assists during audit time
  • Organizes and maintains all accounts payable registers/journals
  • Process payments to vendors and maintain filing system
  • Completes check runs and reconciles vendor statements
  • Post AP transactions to General Ledger
  • Reconciles monthly AP checks
  • Runs various AP and general ledger reports for management and other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Two to five years of accounts payable experience
  • Knowledge of fiscal accounting methods, practice and terminology
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform detailed mathematical calculations
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work with supervision and independently
