Payroll (temp to hire)

Hourly Rate: $17-$21 DOE
Location: San Luis Obispo

Description

Accounting, Tax and Payroll office has an opening for a FT professional with payroll experience.

M-F 8am to 5pm (overtime during tax season). The ideal candidate will have worked in a tax, accounting, or law office.

Duties:

  • Timely and accurate processing of payroll
  • Tax filing, reconciliation of payroll, tax liabilities & payments
  • Calculate overtime, garnishments and withholding
  • Prepare worker's comp reports, certified payroll, 401K census reports, & other 3rd party reports & payments
  • Submit reports to Government
  • Communicate to clients various aspect & requirements of CA & federal labor laws
  • Technical support of payroll software

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience processing payroll (inhouse not ADP)
  • Experience with certified payroll is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
  • Strong knowledge of CA and Federal laws/regulations
  • Strong logic and math skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to organize and prioritize
